These custom knife scales are composed of hand-formed, distressed aluminum honeycomb surrounded by shimmering blue and green urethane resin.
Urethane resin is the same durable material that skateboard wheels are made of. It can also be polished to a high luster, so it is both tough and beautiful.
The aluminum honeycomb used in these scales has been chemically etched for superior adhesion at the metal/resin interface. They are guaranteed not to separate or delaminate.
